After Your Treatment
Home Care Instructions
Your tooth and surrounding gum tissue may feel tender for several days after treatment. This is common and usually improves as the area heals.
- Do not chew on the treated tooth or affected side until your endodontic treatment is completed and your tooth has been properly restored by your general dentist.
- Continue your regular brushing and flossing routine unless our office gives you different instructions.
- Take any recommended medications as directed to help manage discomfort and reduce inflammation.
- Avoid alcohol while taking pain medication, as it may interfere with medications such as ibuprofen, acetaminophen, or aspirin.
- Mild tenderness is normal, but symptoms should gradually improve over time.
